Workforce of the future
There are approximately 1.7 million people currently working in adult social care, yet despite these numbers there is a chronic shortage and high turnover of staff. Estimates are that England will need as many as 1 million more people in the workforce by 2025, a forecast which has many providers struggling to keep pace. This issue combined with strict regulation and inspection means that many services are welcoming the support provided by GTA Social Care
The Care Quality Commission wants providers to demonstrate outcomes which show that people who use services are safe and their health and welfare needs are met by staff who are fit, appropriately qualified and are physically and mentally able to do their job.
Regulation 23 explains how the provider must enable workers to
- Receive appropriate training, professional development, supervision and appraisal; and
- Being enabled, from time to time, to obtain further qualifications appropriate to the work they perform
GTA Social Care works with employers to assess the whole workforce's needs and develop an effective learning and development plan for the organisation and for individuals working within it. We support you to meet your required outcomes.
