GTA Social Care was initially established as a partnership project between Training 2000 and the National Skills Academy for Social Care.

Training 2000 is a charitable trust set up by a consortium of Lancashire businesses. They have built an enviable portfolio of clients throughout the UK and internationally by creating high quality solutions through the application of training.

The National Skills Academy for Social Care is working to transform social care. It does this by focusing on the critical areas of leadership and management skills, commissioning practice and identifying excellence in social care training. The Skills Academy was created by employers across the social care sector to meet their needs and those of staff and service users.
GTA Social Care has a national remit. We work together with people who use services, to find out what they expect the people who support them to be capable of doing, as well as finding out what their priorities are for training the care workforce of tomorrow. We will seek guidance from people who use services at every available opportunity.
We support and guide those wishing to start a career in social care, as well as those already in a social care role. Identifying the best opportunities for training, learning, and employment hopefully leading to a long term career within the social care sector.
We work closely with employers, helping them identify their workforce training needs, and then support them to find the most cost effective and high quality method of delivery.
