GTA-England

What is a GTA?

A Group Training Association (GTA) is unique because we are established for the sector by the sector. We work through employer involvement and ownership, meaning that the training we provide addresses the requirements and needs of our workforce. If you need it, we will support you to provide it.

Working with the GTA brings together networks of like minded forward thinking employers to address the development needs of their whole workforce now and with the future in mind

The more people working with the GTA, the better its ability to:

  • Generate funding for staff training and development
  • Create opportunities within the sector and have a collective voice, including lobbying government
  • Offer and access a wider range of training to meet the very specific needs of your service
  • Share good practice amongst peers and pool resources

GTA Social Care is the first GTA for our sector; it has recognised the advantages for employers by using model which has been successful for years within other industries such as engineering and construction.

By having a GTA dedicated to Social Care, we want to reinvest the wealth of experience and knowledge that already exists and make sure that we have a workforce which can meet these demands now and in the future.
